SQLite vs PostgreSQL for an application backend
sqlitepostgresql
SQLite stores the database in one file. There is no separate database server to run. That is a good fit for a single app, a local tool, or a small hosted project.
PostgreSQL is a server. Many clients connect to it, and you operate backups, users, and upgrades yourself or pay someone to do it. It is the right call when you already depend on Postgres features.
Apito Cloud Free and Pro run SQLite. You model the data and call GraphQL and REST. If you need to run Postgres, you run the open-source engine yourself. See Postgres on your own engine and the SQLite hub.
