MongoDB vs PostgreSQL: documents or tables

mongodbpostgresql

MongoDB stores documents. The shape of a record can change from one write to the next, and your application usually carries that structure.

PostgreSQL stores tables. You declare columns and relationships, and the database rejects rows that do not fit.

Neither is a drop-in for the other. A move means redesigning the data, not flipping a driver.

Apito Cloud Free and Pro store data in SQLite tables and expose them through GraphQL and REST. This page does not claim Cloud runs MongoDB or Postgres. Apito vs Firebase covers the document-database comparison. Postgres on your own engine is the self-hosted Postgres note.
